Mario Santiago
Managing Director & Founding Partner
Throughout his career, Mario has specialized in private sell-side, buy-side, and capital markets advisory specifically in the U.S. healthcare sector. With a focus namely in the long-term care, seniors housing, home health, and behavioral health industries, Mario has over 10 years of transactional and advisory experience and a track record exceeding $1B.Â
Prior to co-founding Helios, Mario was at a national healthcare real estate focused advisory firm. Prior to that, he was at a national debt/equity provider to the seniors housing and long-term care industry. From 2015 – 2017 Mario was member of the American Seniors Housing Association Rising Leaders.
Outside of Helios, Mario is associated with various civic and arts organizations including the Art Institute of Chicago and the Union League Club of Chicago where he sits on the board of the Luminarts Cultural Foundation.
Mario received his Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from DePaul University’s Driehaus College of Business.

William Janis
Managing Director & Founding Partner
Bill has spent his entire professional career in the healthcare finance and advisory industry. He has successfully originated, underwrote and participated in transaction volume exceeding $500M with a focus entirely on seniors housing and long-term care.
Bill prides himself in being a resource for his clients, while offering honest feedback and proactive communication. His unique combination of capital markets and private equity placement gives him exposure to all avenues of the execution process.
Prior to co-founding Helios, Bill was a top producer at Cambridge Realty Capital, a national debt/equity provider to the seniors housing and long-term care industry.Â
