Helios Healthcare Structures Sale of Assisted Living & Memory Care Community in Minnesota

CHICAGO, IL — Helios Healthcare Advisors announces its role in structuring the sale of an 60-unit Assisted Living and Memory Care community (“the Community”) located in South St. Paul, MN on behalf of a regional non-profit provider.

Helios represented Vista Prairie Communities as its exclusive sell-side advisor and ran a marketing process to secure a purchaser to take over the real estate and operations of the Community.

Originally constructed in the early 2000’s, the community experienced a dramatic change in performance shortly before the marketing process began due to a change in executive leadership. At closing, the property was well-occupied, with steady cashflow. The community maintained primarily a Medicaid census population consisting of Minnesota’s Elderly Waiver payor. This served as an accessibility point for lower-income seniors in the area. The purchaser, Walker Methodist, another Minnesota-based non-profit provider, intends to carry on Vista Prairie’s operational success and preserve their mission to provide senior care to low-income individuals in an underserved market.
